Sam Ottenhoff

SAM OTTENHOFF

PRESIDENT AND CTO

Sam is the co-founder of Longsight, creating the company to focus on supporting open-source applications for Higher Ed. He served as one of Sakai's original developers and remains one of the foremost experts on the Sakai LMS. He provides thought leadership on new products and provides the highest level client support on Sakai instances. Sam graduated from Kenyon College with a BA in History and worked as an educational technologist at Teachers College, Columbia University before co-founding Longsight.

He lives in Newburgh, NY.


Wilma Hodges

WILMA HODGES

DIRECTOR OF TRAINING AND E-LEARNING INITIATIVES

Wilma provides thought leadership, training, documentation, community-building, and support for best practices in teaching and learning with the Sakai LMS. She also serves as Sakai PMC Community Coordinator for the Apereo Foundation.

She has worked at Longsight since 2013 and has been working on Sakai since 2009. She earned an EdD in Instructional Technology and Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University; an MA in English from the University of Central Florida; and BAs in English Literature and Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She lives in Oviedo, FL.


Earle Nietzel

EARLE NIETZEL

SENIOR SAKAI DEVELOPER

Earle is the primary Sakai developer at Longsight. He has been with Longsight since 2015. He leads the Sakai Core Team for the Sakai Product Management Committee and serves as the Sakai release manager. He has been working on Sakai since 2006. He earned an BS in Computer and Information Science. He lives in Walkill, NY.


Kenny Aragon

KENNETH ARAGON

TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER​

Kenny handles installs, migrations, upgrades, as well as monitoring and responding to client tickets. He has been with Longsight since 2016 and has worked on Sakai since 2010. He lives in Gilbert, AZ.
