The LAMP Learning Consortium is a shared Sakai system hosted by Longsight for small learning organizations and colleges. Longsight manages hosting, upgrades, and support. Members can also add integrations and instructional design services.

Sakai, video conferencing, and integrations
LAMP includes the open-source Sakai LMS and BigBlueButton for video conferencing. Optional services include Warpwire for video and Turnitin for plagiarism detection.
Instructional Design Consulting
Instructional designers can help you plan an online course, organize its materials, and build it in Sakai.
Cloud Hosting and Support
Longsight hosts the shared Sakai environment, maintains it, and provides member support.
Branding and Community
Curriculum and Enterprise plans include a custom logo, colors, and theme. LAMP members also take part in the wider Sakai community.

Is Sakai a good learning management system?
Yes. The independent Software Reviews site ranks Sakai as a leader in the Education Learning Management category.
If Sakai is Open Source, why can't I run it myself?
You can download, install, and run Sakai yourself. A campus-run installation needs servers, database and operating-system maintenance, Sakai upgrades, security patches, and staff who understand how the LMS is used.
LAMP provides that work as a managed service.
Can I use my own branding on Sakai?
Yes. At the Curriculum and Enterprise levels, we will build a custom skin for your courses featuring your branding, logo, and color scheme.
Is Sakai secure?
LAMP hosts Sakai on Amazon Web Services and serves it over HTTPS. Contact Longsight if your institution needs current security documentation.
Is Sakai accessible?
The Sakai community maintains accessibility documentation and a dedicated working group. Institutions should still test the workflows and assistive technologies their learners use. Read Sakai's accessibility information.
